Component Types

Arbitrary Name	Short Description
Active	Does anything which does something, such as sending a mesecons signal, or sending ATC commands to a train
Static	Does little; examples include the normal track and bumper (a bumper is simply decorative as far as writer knows)
Purgatory	Is between the two stages; examples include points (switches) and the andrews cross
